Amritsar, August 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – NSS Unit I & II, Guru Nanak Dev University organised a Blood Donation Camp here today in collaboration with Guru Nanak Hospital Amritsar and sponsored by HDFC Bank. The camp was graced by Honourable Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu with his presence. Prof. Sandhu interacted with the donor students and encouraged them for similar endeavours in future too. The Camp was coordinated by Dr. H.S. Gujral, NSS Head, GNDU and NSS Program Officers for Unit I & II, Prof. Rajesh Kumar and Dr. Harkirandeep Kaur. A team of medical officers from Guru Nanak Hospital lead the camp under Dr. Neeraj Sharma, along-with the medical team at Health Centre, GNDU including Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Dr. Pawan Sharma. Mr. Mandeep Singh, Circle Head, HDFC bank Amritsar coordinated with the medical team for the same. More than 200 students volunteered for the camp and around 70 units of blood was collected, making the camp a success.
