DAV Public School Celebrates Teachers’ Day with Fervor

Amritsar, 6 September (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road organised a special programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and educator ‘Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishan’ and to express their gratitude and respect to their teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

The programme began by invoking the blessings of Almighty, followed by Guru Vandana. The students put up a scintillating show for the teachers which included thanks giving poems, songs and dances. The teachers were engaged in many fun filled games, bringing childhood memories back. The students saluted the teachers for being their guide, well wisher and great mentors.

On the occasion 21 members of the teaching, non–teaching staff of the school were honoured by the Principal of the school, Dr. Pallavi Sethi for successfully completing 20 years of service.

Dr. Pallavi Sethi Principal of the school said that a nation’s progress depends upon its education and teachers play an important role in holistic development of the students, building their character and shaping them to become an ideal citizen of the country. She congratulated the teachers and called them pillars of students’ success, and also blessed them to achieve greater personal and professional growth in the years to come.

Regional Officer Punjab Zone A Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school  Dr. Pushpinder Walia sent their choicest blessings on this occasion for all the teachers.
