Guru Nanak Dev Univesity organized Cycle Rally and Run for Freedom

Amritsar, September 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In memory of Sardar Bhagat Singh on his Birth Anniversary Guru Nanak Dev University under the patronage of Hon. Vice Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, organized a Cycle Rally and Run for Freedom in the university campus at 7 AM today. About 100 cyclists and many hundred runners participated in the event.

Prof. Anish Dua, Dean Students Welfare flagged of the rally and inspired the participants. Fitness club mentors Dr. Amrinder Singh and Srinivasa Rao Incharge Sports, office of Director Sports Kanwar Mandeep Singh Dhillon, Dr. Amandeep Singh Incharge Campus Sports and coaches of university were present during the event and cheered the participants.  Prof. Dua while speaking on this occasion said that good health and well-being of all is essential to develop the Nation. He said that today we are remembering S. Bhagat Singh who sacrificed for the freedom of nation and we should not forget his sacrifice.
