SGPC calls meeting to discuss incident of burning chairs at Gurdwara Sahib in Jalandhar

Amritsar, December 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has called a meeting of its Dharam Prachar Committee (DPC) on December 16, to discuss the issue of burning chairs at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Model Town Jalandhar.

Yesterday, SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami had reached the concerned Gurdwara Sahib and held a meeting with its management and the Sangat (community), following which, this meeting of DPC has been called.

Giving information in this regard, SGPC President’s OSD Satbir Singh Dhami said that this specially called meeting will be held at Gurdwara Sri Bhattha Sahib, Rupnagar (Ropar). He said that in context with the incident that took place at a Gurdwara Sahib in Jalandhar, a decision will be taken during this meeting of DPC, so that such a situation of controversy within the community does not arise in future.
