Amritsar , March 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Y20 Committee visited the Guru Nanak Dev University and inspect the tasks related to the Youth 20 (Y20) event under the G20 Presidency of India, supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India on 15th March 2023. The committee consisted of Sh. Abhijeet Gautam, Sh. Naveen Kumar and Miss Nitika Sharma.
Prof. Hardeep Singh Nodel Officer said that the main event of Youth 20 (Y20) will be held in the Golden Jubilee Convention Centre and all arrangements to conduct this event smoothfully is planned under tha able guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu. He said that Y20 is an official consultation forum for youth from all G20 member countries to be able to dialogue with each other. Y20 encourages youth as future leaders to raise awareness of global issues, exchange ideas, argue, negotiate, and reach consensus.
The event will be focused on the theme of ‘Future of Work: Industry 4.0, Innovation & 21st Century Skills’. During this event the Sub themes – Preparing the Workforce through the Principle of Unlearn, Relearn & Reskill; Cross Border Innovation: Growth Through Collaboration; Gig Economy: The New Age Industry; Catalysing the Start-Up Ecosystem; Traditional Economy as a Part of Industry 4.0 will be focused.
The speakers for this consultation would be youths from various G20 countries and across the nation who have done exemplary work in the field of education & skill development, etc. The audience shall comprise young delegates, invitees, and students from India and G20 countries.
