Amritsar, March 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PG Department of Journalism and Mass communication of Khalsa College Amritsar organized one day educational visit to 94.3 MY FM. The aim of the visit was to familiarize the students with the growing importance of radio and to give them practical exposure of the electronic media. It was quite an interactive session, where students asked numerous questions from RJ Deep and RJ Akshita. While interacting with the students RJ Deep stressed upon the news concepts of the radio and compared the old concepts and modern concepts of radio. He also told students the skills that are required to become proficient radio jockey. Whereas RJ Akshita, emphasized on technical knowhow in the field of radio. She also told students that how they can work on voice and various softwares required in the radio.
Principal Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated Incharge, Prof Ferry Bhatia Department Journalism and Mass Communication for organizing such visits, he further said, “Radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity and constitutes a platform for democratic discourse. Its unique ability to reach out to the widest audience means radio can shape a society’s experience of diversity, stand as an arena for all voices to speak out, be represented and heard. The Students were accompanied by Prof. Jaskirat Singh and Prof. Surbhi Sharma.
