Amritsar, October 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – An Investiture Ceremony was organized at Khalsa College International
Public School (KCIPS) today in which students council members took the ‘oath of discipline’. The students who were democratically elected to the various houses of the school took the pledge to be responsible citizens.
Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) honourary Secretary Rajindermohan Singh Chhina who was chief guest said primary motive of education is inculcating the sense of discipline amongst the students. KCGC vice president Sawinder Singh Kathunangal, joint secretary Santokh Singh Sethi and Tajinder Chhina were guest of honour joined Chhina to bestow robe of honour to student leaders.
The students followed the school houses including Sahibzada Ajit Singh House, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh House, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House and Sahibzada Fateh Singh House in a row to participate in the oath taking ceremony. A cultural programs depicting dance, bhangra and gidda was also organized. Principal Nirmaljit Kaur Gill welcomed the guests.
Chhina announced that students getting 95 per cent and above marks will get free education in Khalsa institutions as he gave details of other concessions. KCGC members Paramjit Singh Bal, Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon, Principal Harpreet Kaur, AS Gill, Gurinder Kaur, Puneet Kaur Nagpal, Mandeep Kaur and were present.
