Amritsar, August 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a rare recognition, historic Khalsa College, Amritsar has been placed in the list of top Colleges of the country in India Rankings 2024. The rankings, released by National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has placed the 1892-established and University Grants Commission (UGC)’s tagged Autonomous College amongst the well recognized institutions, said Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. The Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohahn Singh Chhina while congratulating the Principal, teachers, students and staff said that the top ranking was a matter of pride for all of us.
Dr. Mehal Singh said the achievement was possible due to the able guidance and leadership of KCGC President Satyajit Singh Majithia and RMS Chhina who had been their guiding force due to their vision and perspective to provide best education to all the strata of the society. He further credited the accomplishment to the hard work of faculty of the college. He said the College had recently secured A+ grade from NAAC, Bangalore and also has been ranked first among the Autonomous Colleges of Punjab by EW Ranking 2024. The College finding a place in the list of top institutions of the country by National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education is another landmark and momentous achievement, said the management.
