Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. S Brar unfurls National Flag at GNDU

Amritsar, Jan. 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  The 66th Republic Day was celebrated at the Guru Nanak Dev University Campus with great enthusiasm. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A.S. Brar unfurled the National Flag at the University Guest House Lawns. A large number of teachers, employees, students and campus residents took part in these celebrations. The students of the Music Department presented patriotic songs. Prof. Paramjit Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs welcomed the chief guest and others while Dr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Registrar presented vote of thanks on this occasion. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Head, Music Department conduct the stage.

Prof. Brar while congratulating the University fraternity said that the energy of youth should be channelized for the constructive purposes so that they could not involve into drug addiction like social evils. He said that more professional courses required to be introduced to make them self dependent. He said that during last few years our Country has developed in all spheres, but more needed to be done to meet the international challenges.

He emphasized on quality and moral education for the betterment of the society and also eradicated the crime. He also appealed the University fraternity to follow the rules and regulation laid by them. He said that to compete with the international standards education needs peaceful environment, good infrastructure and high quality teaching methodology. He also gave the details about he development activities of the University during recent years.
