Two-day Conference on Innovations in Engineering concludes at KCET

Amritsar, March 29 ( Paritam Singh)- The two day long national conference on Innovations in Engineering and Information Technology today concluded at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET) here today. More than 65 research papers were read during the conference in which experts from various parts of the country and students presented their papers and projects in the subject. Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director, National Institute of Technology, Delhi, said that a revolution was taking place in the IT industry and we will witness changes in the industry in the coming a few years. He said in educations itself the vast changes were taking place and out dependence on the IT would increase manifold in the coming two-three years. The Conference was yesterday inaugurated by Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina who thanked the delegates for their coming to the College. KCET Principal Dr.Amarpal Singh said that the research projects were of high standards and the conference was an opportunity for the delegates to share the knowledge and information on the vast subjects. Those who presented their papers included Dr. ML Singh, Prof. & Head, Deptt. Electronics, GNDU. Dr. Vishal Sharma, from Shaheed Bhagar Singh Govt. College, Dr. Mohinder Sangita, Dean Academics of the College, Dr Sandeep Sood, Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Department of CSE, Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Gurdaspur, Dr. Sandeep K Arya, professor and chairman, Department of ECE, Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar, Dr, Shashi Rana, Assistant professor, Department of ECE, Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Gurdaspur. Heads of various departments including RS Mahal, Harkaran Singh, Loveleen Kaur, Sanjeev Kumar, Bikram Singh, Prof Sahil Verma, Narinder Singh, faculty emmebrs and students were present in large number.
