Amritsar, 4 Sept. (Punjab Post Bureau)- The workshop was based on the Research Model ‘Design Thinking’ DEKHO-SOCHO-KARO created by the resource person Jyoti Manral held in Bachelor of Design Department of BBK DAV College for Women. She is an established Design Thinker, lifestyle researcher, life coach & trend analyst. She is also an allumini of National School of Design, Member and Jury of various prestigious organizations & has been awarded with number of honours & awards. Nearly 75 students from both specializations Fashion Designing and Textile Designing participated in this workshop. The workshop was a game based on the research model Dekho-Socho-Karo, where ‘Dekho’ accentially, means observe and frame, ‘Socho’ means analyze synthetis and conceptualize and ‘Karo’ means to make or to prototype. It helped the students in their respective fields of fashion and textiles where it was a process of orienting the students towards innovative mind set. The focus on the workshop was to develop emotional competencies and creative confidence building in the students. Mr. Shashank who is the manager of education partnership of Pearl Academy also helped during the workshop. Head of Department Mrs. Mandeep Sokhi alongwith the staff were present during this workshop.
