Students of DAV College Celebrates World Tourism day

Amritsar, Sept. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Travel and Tourism, DAV College organized heritage walk in Collaboration with IDIPT (Infrastructure Development Investment Programme for Tourism and PHTP (Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board Govt Of Punjab) for the celebration of World Tourism Day.  This Heritage walk was organized under supervision of Dr Vishwa Bandhu, Head department of History and Prof Shilpi Seth Department of Travel and Tourism. 35 students of the College participated in this heritage walk with full enthusiasm. It embarked from Town Hall covering 13 tourism points of the city and finally ended at Galiara Golden Temple. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Congratulated Travel and Tourism Department for their effort in organizing Heritage walk.  He added that such efforts are very helpful for promoting tourism in Punjab.  Dr. Vishwa Bandhu said that the main aim behind organizing Heritage walk was to make students aware about famous tourist attractions in city. Dr. Seema Arora, Prof Amit Syal, Prof. Himani Dogra were also present during this Heritage Walk.
