DAV Public School Shines in CBSE North Zone II Skating Championship

Amritsar, Oct. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The CBSE North Zone II Skating Championship was organised at Guru Nanak Public School, Ludhiana. More than 150 schools affiliated to CBSE from Punjab and Haryana participated in the Championship. The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar proved their mettle in this championship by winning 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals. Rahul Rai of Std VII,  the ace skater and recipient of Chacha Nehru scholarship bagged Gold Medal in 300 mts. Race and 1000 mts. Race in  U – 14 boys. In U – 8 boys, Daksh Tuteja of Std II bagged Silver Medal in 500 mts race. In U – 16 boys, Alamjot Singh Dhillon of Std IX bagged Bronze Medal in 500 mt. race and Abhishek of Std IX won Bronze Medal in 400 mts. Race.

 Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate congratulated the students for their fabulous performance. They asked them to put in their best for future endeavors. Dr. Neera Sharma while applauding the students said that it is very important to balance curricular and co–curricular activities for the  holistic development . She added that she was happy to see her students excelling in both. She blessed them for future competitions.
