DAV Public Declared Best in Declamation

Amritsar, Jan 14 (Punjab Post Bureau)- 27^th National Road Safety week was organised by Traffic Police , Amritsar . The aim of this was to spread awareness among the students and the general public about the importance of following traffic rules for safety. Under this many events were organised at different venues. A Declamation competition under the same theme was organised today at Ram Ashram Public School. In this competition, Saksham Ratra of Std X of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar bagged the first prize. His topic was related to the problems related to traffic and its relevant solutions. As many as 10 schools from Amritsar participated in this competition. Saksham gave an enthusiastic and brilliant performance in Punjabi and clinched the trophy of the Best Speaker. The judges, who were the eminent lecturers from reputed government institutions, praised Saksham for his clarity of thought, fluency and wonderful performance. Regional Director Punjab Zone A, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal  DAV College Hathi Gate blessed the student  for his brilliant  effort. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal appreciated the teachers for their efforts. She also congratulated Saksham and said that students must come forward and be a part of such events for the benefit of the society.
