DAV Public School Makes Mark in CRUX – 2016

Amritsar, Feb 2 (Punjab Post Bureau)-  A Science Carnival  ‘CRUX – 2016’ was organised at BBK DAV College for Women recently. The carnival was sponsored by Department of Biotechnology. As many as 25 schools with more than 150 participants from in and around Amritsar participated  in the carnival .

The students of DAV Public School participated and won Top Positions in four categories. In Scientific Drama, the school team comprising of Harman, Vikas of Std – X, Keshav, Milind, Khushi, Saksham, Pragati, Hriday and Arshiya of Std. IX bagged First Position.

In Scientific Photography, Sabhya Grover of Std X also bagged First Position. In Poster Making competition, Sushant Dutta & Aashna Handa of Std X clinched First Position. The students, Suryansh and Snehashish Roy of Std X bagged Third Position in Model Presentation. The judges, who were eminent educationists and experts from GNDU appreciated the in depth knowledge and leadership qualities of the students.

Regional Director Punjab Zone A, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the students and blessed them for their future endeavours. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school said that Science is the future. So, it is the constant endeavour of the school to encourage students to develop scientific knowledge and enhance their interest in research. She added this would enable them to participate and represent their country at the global front.
