
Amritsar, Feb 9 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Keeping up the spirit of Internationalism, DAV International School includes special programs in its curriculum to have the English Language Learning skills of its students. In this regard various Cambridge English Language Assessment Examinations are conducted in the school.
Today, a special program was organized on the school premises to give away the certificates to the students of YLE (Starters, Movers & Flyers). On this occasion Ms. Angela Ffrench, Director of Operations, South, Asia, Cambridge English Language Assessment presided over as the Chief Guest. The program began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony followed by the floral welcome of the distinguished guests. The students of the school presented a mellifluous welcome song in her honour.
Principal Anjana Gupta, in her address, extended a hearty welcome to the worthy guest and remarked that it’s a moment of glory for the students that it’s a moment of glory for the students to be honoured by such a learned personality. While talking to the blooming buds of the school, Ms. Angela Ffrench remarked that she was overwhelmed to be amidst such lovely students of one of the most prestigious schools of the city. She highlighted on the importance of English Langauge Learning in the present day global world and encouraged the students to continue with all the higher levels of the Cambridge Examinations. More than 300 students of Starters, Movers and Flyers were given away their certificates by the esteemed guest. The program ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
