
Amritsar, Apr. 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Garvika of Std VIII of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar brought laurels to the school by winning the Hindi Declamation Contest organised by Rotary Club , Amritsar. The contest was held at SL Bhavan’s on 23rd April. The topic for the contest was ‘Beti Bacho, Beti Padao’. As many as 13 schools from in and around Amritsar participated in the contest which had 26 participants presenting their thoughts and views on a very critical issue related to the upbringing of girl child in our society. Garvika, with her impressive performance and imposing speech gained the highest applause of the judges and the audience and bagged the first prize in the contest. She was awarded a trophy and a gift hamper.
Regional Director , Punjab Zone – A , Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr, Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the student for her brilliant performance and blessed her for her future endeavors. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school expressed her happiness at the achievement of Garvika and encouraged her to work hard to pursue her dreams.
