BBK DAV College organises Workshop on ‘Film Production’

Amritsar, May 3 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of BBK DAV College for Women organised a three days Workshop on Film Production. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Aditi, a filmmaker and producer from New Delhi.  On the first day of the workshop, Ms. Aditi acquainted students with pre-production stage of film making and discussed with them the role of various crew members in film making. During the second day, students were given tips on writing script and screen play. On the third day, students were familiarized with concepts of post production stage and editing of a film. Ms. Aditi owns a production house ‘Apple Box’ and has directed and produced several documentaries and ad films. After graduating from Delhi University in Mass Media, she has done her specialisation in Cinematography from FTII, Pune. Dr. Priyanka Bassi, Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication thanked her for sparing her valuable time and educating students about the process of film production. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia applauded the efforts of the department and said that such workshops widen the understanding of the students and enable them to develop practical skills.
