Northern Command Summer organised Adventure Camp for Children

Jammu, June 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  A summer adventure camp for school children of entire Northern Command is being organised from 06 June to 12 June 2016 at Dalhousie under DAH Division.  The theme of the camp is ‘Education and Learning Beyond the Confines of Classroom’ with an aim to increase confidence of children and infuse spirit of adventure alongwith awareness on environmental issue.

          Various leisure, adventure and group activities have been planned for children including rock, climbing, trekking, obstacles course, tent pitching, painting, archery and air gun shooting are being organised by Dalhousie Brigade during the camp. A campaign of Clean and Green drive at Dalhousie cantonment is also being undertaken by the participating children of the summer camp.  The Army has been extended all necessary assistance by the civil authority as well for smooth conduct of the Summer Adventure Camp.  Such events would indeed go a long way in the personality development of juvenile minds, enhance the popularity of non-polluted virgin hill stations like Dalhousie and augment environmental awareness of casual tourists to maintain the cleanliness of such places and preserve them for the generations to come.
