Rich tributes Paid to Retired S.P Davinder Singh Grewal

Amritsar, June 14 (Dharmendera Singh Rataul)- The rich tributes were paid to retired SP, Punjab Police, Davinder Singh Grewal here today during the bhog ceremony of deceased who breathed her last on June 8 after a prolong illness. He was father-in-law of Punjab BJP vice President and Khalsa College Charitable Society’s honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina.

Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, Cabinet Minister Anil Joshi, Rajya Sabha MP Swet Malik, spoke on the life and achievements of Grewal who was hailed for his services to the motherland and living an honest and meaningful life. Grewal had served on difficult duties as a police officer during the militancy period in the state.

Golden Temple Granthi Bhai Sultan Singh and Ragi Bhai Gurdev Singh sang the devotional songs. Others who paid tributes included former Ministers Prof.Darbari Lal, Baldev Raj Chawla GNDU VC Dr.AS Brar, MLA Inderbir Singh Bolaria, Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal and political leaders from SAD (B), Congress and BJP. The representatives from Khalsa institutions, Indian Academy of Fine Arts (Art Gallery), Punjab National Bank, Chief Khalsa Diwan, other religious, sociala dn business associations, Principals of various educational institutions took part in the prayers.
