GNDU honored its student-artists

Amritsar, August 4 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Guru Nanak Dev University has honored its Students-artists here today in a special Award Ceremoney. These students brought laurels to the University in Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival & Inter-University National Youth Festival. This programme was organized by Youth Welfare Department of the University in the Dasmesh Auditorium. prof. N.S. Tung, Dean Academic Affairs presided over and honoured 34 students who won positions in these Youth Festivals with medal and certificates. The coaches, teachers and their Principals were also honoured on this occasion.  Prof. K.S. Kahlon, Dean Students’ Welfare presented vote of thanks. Student artists also performed of some of winner items of these festivals. Prof. Tung said that students should participate in cultural activities alongwith their formal studies for their overall development. He said that student-artists should work hard to excel in next youth fests. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and student-artists. She gave the details of the achievement of the department on this occasion.
