Jatt& Juliet Director-Anurag Singhcautions students on exploitation of strugglers

Amritsar, September 23 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Anurag Singh director of famed Punjabi film“Jatt& Juliet”visited Global Institutes, Amritsar and interacted with its students and faculty. Talking about his life, Anurag said –“I belong to Kapurthala, from where I went to Melbourne, Australia, to study Media Arts. MyAustralian experience filled me with enthusiasm.  Although I had already made my name in Bollywood later, I ardently wished to work for Punjabi Cinema, and thankfully was able to raise the bar for Punjabi films.”

            He told the students that he was happy that his “Jatt& Juliet” brought a whiff of freshair in Punjabi Cinema and opened its window to a worldwide audienceand laid the credit of its success in his  team’s talent and  unflinching trust and support for its amazing success.

Answering queries from students Anurag, advised potential artists about exploitation in the film industry for struggling artists. He advised them to go through proper channels of study to thoroughly know the business of film-making, to make a success of their careers in the acting and related fields.

             He answered a number of questions from the students about the opportunities in the show business. On a conclusive note he said –“The road to success is a hard and long journey, which needs 95% perspiration and 5% inspiration”.

            Anurag Singh has won the Best Director Award for the movie Jatt& Juliet and Jatt& Juliet-2 consecutively in the year 2013 and 2014. Earlier, Anurag Singh was heartily welcomed by Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh and Director Dr. Rajesh Goel of GIA.
