District Congress staged a protest dharna outside Ajnala Police Station  

Ajnala, September 28 (Punjab Post Bureau)- District Congress Committee Amritsar Rural and Congressmen under leadership of DCC (R) chief Gurjeet Singh Aujla today staged a protest dharna outside Ajnala Police Station. Congressmen demanded inclusion of IPC 120B along with IPC 307 in FIR and also demanded addition of Akali MLA Bonny Amarpal’s name as chief conspirator. It is worth reminding here that Congressmen named Sarwan Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Aman Kumar, were injured during an attack by Akali goons on the bike rally, led by District Congress Committee (rural) president Gurjit Singh Aujla on 25 of this month in Ajnala. Aujla said that they were successful in getting FIR registered against the Akali goons but the chief conspirator Bonny Amarpal is not included by the police and now Congress have to resort to dharnas and protests.

The protest was specially attended and addressed by Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa, former minister Sardool Singh Bandala, PPCC secretary Mandeep Singh Manna, PPCC secretary. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Block President Balwinder Singh Marhdi, Sarpanch Kulwant Singh Boharwala, Bikram Singh Boharwalai, Rajan Madhushanga,  Sartaj Singh Jhander, Daman Tehra and others.
