Amritsar, September 29 (Punjab Post Bureau)- A Seminar was organized by United India Insurance Co.Ltd., Amritsar in association with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Amritsar on 28/09/2016 at seminar Hall Sri Guru Harkirishan Public School, G.T.Road, Amritar (Chief Khalsa Diwan) on the occasion of “WORLD HEART DAY”. S.Charanjit Singh Chadda, President Chief Khalsa Diwan graced the occasion as CHIEF GUEST and Dr.H. P.Singh Cardiologist and Medical Director Fortis Escorts Hospital, Amritsar addressed the participants about health care. Speaking on the occasion S.Charanjit Singh Chadda President CKD expressed gratitude to United India Insurance Co. Ltd. and Forits Escorts Hospital, Amritsar to select the Chief Khalsa Diwan Campus as venue which may prove to be much advantageous for CKD employees. He said that real wealth is good health. Misfortunes always come in by door that has been left open. So for all, prevention is better than cure.
While addressing the gathering, the resource person Dr.H.P.Singh put light on functioning of heart, reasons of heart failure, risk factors and prevention measures of heart diseases. He said that heart failure is silent killer since it shows symptoms only at the advanced stage. Heart disease is No. one killer in USA. He exhorted to take protein rich diet, (fruits, vegetables and salads) to spent at least 45 minutes per day for exercise, to stop in taking Alcohol and smoking and to control obesity and Cholesterol. The occasion was also graced by S.Narinder Singh Khurana Hon. Secretary Chief Khalsa Diwan, Dr.Dharamvir Singh Director Education Chief Khalsa Diwan as guest of Honor.
