
Amritsar, November 2 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Department of Zoology of BBK DAV College for Women organized a DBT and UGC sponsored workshop on ‘Life-Saving Skills’. Dr. Mohinder Pal Singh from Zikidtza Health Care Ltd. was the resource person for the workshop. During the workshop, Dr. Mohinder Pal and his team gave demonstration on life-saving skills in medical emergencies like CRP (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), first aid measures in incidences of choking, cardiac arrest, bleeding, seizures etc. He also talked on the first-aid measures required for snake bite and fracture management. Students were also made aware about Dial 108 ambulance services, initiated under Atal Sewa Scheme.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the department on organizing such an innovative workshop. She also appreciated the efforts of the expert team for acquainting students with various first aid and life-saving skills. Dr. Monika Bhardwaj, Head, Department of Zoology, along with other faculty members, were also present on the occasion.
