Baniyari (Pathankot), January 9 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Gurj Division organized a Medical-cum-Veterinary Camp at border Village of Baniyari in pathankot District on 08 January 2017. Baniyari is a village right in the border area with majority of the population being Ex-serviceman and serving soldiers. The aim of the camp was to provide relief to these border village residents and their livestock. The opportunity was extensively utilized by the locals wherein large number of civilians including women and children of Baniyari village and surrounding areas were treated, large number of livestock were also treated and medicines were distributed free of cost. A team of three army and two veterinary doctors treated approximately 900 people including women, children and their livestock. The local populace was extremely thankful to the Indian Army for organizing the Medical cum Veterinary Camp and for coming forward to support them in the time of need.
