Amritsar, January 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – NSS Unit of BBK DAV College for Women organized a 7 Days Camp in

the college premises. The camp aimed at educating the people about demonetization and cashless economy. During the camp, NSS volunteers visited Government High School in Qila Jiwan Singh, an adopted village of the college. During the visit, volunteers and teachers of NSS unit made the students aware about the benefits of cashless transactions and motivated them to adopt this change for the better tomorrow. Besides, enlightening lectures were also delivered on the social upliftment, Jan Dhan Yojna, RTI Act, digital India and the usage of various online apps like Paytm, Bhim etc.
Appreciating the zeal of the volunteers, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that through demonetization, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has initiated a drive against black money and we all should contribute to his mission wholeheartedly for a corruption- free nation. NSS Program officers Mrs. Surbhi Sethi and Mrs. Priya Sharma, along with their team members, participated in the camp with enthusiasm.
