GNDU won All India Inter-University Fencing (MW) Championships

Amritsar, January 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Guru Nanak Dev University won All India Inter-University Fencing (Men & Women) Championships. About 651 fencers of 55 teams from all over the country took part in this championship. GNDU stood first in men championship, Punjabi University Patiala second and Punjab University Chandigharh got third position.   GNDU won the women championship, championship while Punjabi University Patiala stood second and Anna University got third position

Prof. (Dr.) Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Registrar was Chief Guest of the closing day ceremony.  He said that Guru Nanak Dev University is committed for the upliftment of the sports status of the University. He said that this University has enhanced the sports facilities and incentives to promote sports among students. Earlier, Dr. H.S. Randhawa Deputy Director Sports & Head welcomed the chief guest and others and also gave the details about departmental activities.
