BBK DAV Players wins Silver in All India Intervarsity Tug of War Championship

Amritsar, January 27 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Ten players of BBK DAV College for Women won silver & bronze medals in the first ever All India Intervarsity Tug of War Championship held at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara.

 It is pertinent to note that GNDU’s team secured overall runners-up position out of the 18 teams that participated in the event. Total 18 players represented GNDU at All India Intervarsity level and ten players were from BBK DAV College for Women. Congratulating the young achievers, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia motivated them to work hard. She further added that the college has always provided the state-of-the-art infrastructure to its players and, as a result, they have always made a mark in various championships. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee, Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with faculty members, and Tug of War Coach Gurjit Singh felicitated the players on their achievements.
