Researcher Group of Guru Nanak Dev University awarded

Amritsar, February 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The research group of Prof. Kamaljit Singh and Prof. Paramjit Kaur, Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University has been awarded the RSC advances best poster award for their work on the development of nonlinear optical materials, in the joint 11^th Chemical Research Society of India-Royal Society of Chemistry, UK and 20^th Chemical Research Society of India National Symposium in Chemistry, organized by Department of Chemistry, Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam. The work was presented by Miss Sarbjeet Kaur, and was recently published in J. Materials Chemistry C. Nonlinear optical materials have important applications in the domain of optoelectronics and photonics such as broad-band optical communications, optical signal processing, optical sensing etc. The professors owe this success to the hard work of the students.
