Workshop on “Using Portable Fire Extinguisher” organized at DAV College

Amritsar, February 16 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The department of Zoology, DAV College organized a workshop on ‘Using Portable Fire Extinguisher’ in case of laboratory fire accident on Feb. 16, 2017. The main aim behind this workshop was to educate the Faculty members, Science students and Lab staff about the usage of portable Fire Extinguishers at the time of sudden fire accidents. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar appreciated the efforts of Zoology Department for organizing such educational disaster management programme. Dr Rajni Khanna, Head department of Zoology gave floral welcome to the key speaker S.Gursahib Singh, Director Unique Matters Pvt.Ltd.Asr. He briefed about different types of fire extinguishers and gave useful safety tips with live demonstration of different types of fire extinguishers installed in college labs. During this training cum workshop Administrator Dr Daziy Sharma, Dr Neeraj Gupta, Ms Renu Chauhan, Ms Nihita Sharma also attended the workshop.
