University organized a Two Days Hands on Workshop on Kinesio-Taping

Amritsar, 17 April (Punjab Post Bureau) –

The Department of Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy of Guru Nanak Dev University organized a “Two Days Hands on Workshop on Kinesio-Taping” in the Seminar Hall of the department.

Prof. (Dr.) N.S.Tung, Dean Academic Affairs of the university inaugurated the workshop and discussed about the major benefits of exercises to remain physically active in day to day life. He also discussed how to get rid of the stressful life; and physiotherapy be a good tool in this direction. On this occasion, Dr. Naveen Ganer, Senior Manual Therapist, Jindal Institute of Medical Sciences, Haryana and the resource person of the workshop discussed about the various techniques of Kinesio-Taping in Sports Physiotherapy.

Prof. (Dr.) Shyamal Koley, HOD, welcomed the guests and described the theme of the present workshop. He elaborated the applications of Kinesio-Taping in injured Sports-persons.
