DAV Holds Musical Bananza

Amritsar, April 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School Lawrence Road held a mystical musical performance by Shubhendra Rao andMithilesh Kumar Jha in collaboration will Spic Macay at Urvi Auditorium. The musical bonanza began with the welcome speech of the Principal of the school Dr. Neera Sharma and auspicious lighting of lamp.  Spic Macay is a voluntary youth movement which promotes intangible aspects of Indian Cultural Heritage by promoting Indian classical music, classical dance, folk music, meditation and other aspects of Indian culture.

Shubhandra Rao a sitar maestro, gave  a scintillating performance , enthralling one and all . He with his companion, Mithilesh Kumar Jha on tabla, kept the audience spell bound. The atmosphere came alive will duet of sitar and tabla in which students also participated enthusiastically. Their interaction with the students was very interesting and informative.

Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school thanked the guests for the splendid performance and addressed that Spic Macay gives platform to many volunteers who come from all walks of life. One requires introspection and opening of the inner eye to know his /her talent and be associated with our cultural heritage.
