Amandeep Hospital celebrated International Nurses Day

Amritsar, May 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PPN1205201717Nurses are the backbone of the Medical Field & one can’t even think about this field without the contribution of Nurses. These are the nurses who take care of a patient before the physician reaches & after the physician completes his procedures. Job of a nurse requires dedication, soft skills, pressure bearing, working in odd conditions. Medical fraternity salutes the nursing staff for contributing to heal the patients. These words were expressed by Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Medical Director-cum-CEO Amandeep Hospital. She was speaking during a function organized by Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar to commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale on the International Nurses Day. She added that International Nurses Day is celebrated to mark the contributions of Florence Nightingale to the society all over the world every year on 12th May. The theme for 2017 is Nursing: A voice to lead – Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. On this occasion, fun games & a quiz competition was organized among various departments of Amandeep Hospital to refresh & enhance the skills. Dr. Amandeep Kaur distributed prizes to the winners. She added that next year, many more fun games & competitions will be added to this function.
