DAV Public School wins Medals in Open District Rope Skipping Tournament

 Amritsar, May 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar excelled in Open District Rope Skipping  Tournament held at P B N Sen. Sec. School  recently. As many as 15 schools from Amritsar district participated in this tournament. The following  students won medals and made the school proud  with their performance, Shreya of  Std V  won Gold Medal in Single Bounce, Divya Sabharwal of Std  VI won Gold Medal in 30 Sec jogging and Double Under, Drishti Sabharwal bagged Gold Medal in 3 minutes jogging and Free style, Harshita Bhatia of Std XI (Arts) won Gold Medal in Endurance, Vidhi Thakur of Std VIII won  Gold Medal in 30 sec jogging, Swayam Khera of Std  VI won Silver Medal in 30 sec jogging  and Edurance, Ramitdeep Kaur of Std VIII bagged silver medal in 30 sec  jogging and Harkirat Singh of Std VI bagged silver medal in jogging and a Bronze Medal in Single Bounce.  The school team was declared Overall Third in the tournament.

                    Regional Director , Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar  congratulated the students for excelling in sports. They advised them to make sports an integral part of their routine. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school applauded the efforts of the students. She said it is very important to maintain a balance between academics, curricular and co–curricular activities for the overall development of students. She encouraged them to pursue the sport of their choice and excel in it.
