DAV Public School created Limca Book of Record in Skating

Amritsar, June 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road created a record under the training of Mrs. Anju Gupta Coach in Skating on 22.06.2017 at Kamal Palace. The record was made under the  name 24 hours on wheels which was flagged off by the Principal of the school Dr. Neera Sharma on opening day and Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Hathi Gate , Amritsar was the Chief Guests on the concluding day of the great achieved by the students.

This achievement of the students has gained entry into the LIMCA BOOK OF RECORD which is commendable accomplishment of the students. Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated for this great record and awarded medals and certificate to them. He also advised the students to stay away from drugs and other distracting habits like social media and internet and instead utilise their energy in some productive works.

Skating for 24 hours, 12 students of the school took a break of 40 minutes after every 4 ½  hours and does competed the feat successfully. The students were Chirag Gupta, Mehak Gupta, Adisha Sanan, Kanika Sanan, Navya Arora, Yash Sapra, Arman Singh, Rishika Sharma, Kashvi Sharma, Saksham Sharma  and  Pavit.  Chirag Gupta and Mehak Gupta who are the city stars were awarded Gold Medal at National Level.

Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal DAV College Hathi Gate blessed the students for their bright and successful future.

Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school was ecstatic at the brilliant achievement of the students. She congratulated the students and teachers for their efforts and encouraged the students to create new benchmark like this in future.
