BBA DAV College for Women Lifts GNDU Inter College Netball Championship

Amritsar. Nov. 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Netball team of BBK DAV College for Women won the GNDU Inter-College Netball Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University. BBK team gave a splendid show by defeating SD College, Dinanagar and HMV College, Jalandhar. Members of the winning team are Ms. Somi Kumari, Samriti, Akwinder Kaur, Sukhjinder Kaur, Harjit Kaur, Gurpreeet Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Rajandeep Kaur, Sadhvi, Preeti Kumari and Lovepreet Kaur. Seven players of the college Ms. Somi Kumari, Samriti, Akwinder Kaur, Sukhjinder Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Lovepreet Kaur and Sadhvi have been selected for All India Intervarsity Championship going to be held at Manglore in Feb. 2018. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and as a result, BBK DAV College for Women is a forerunner in sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head Department of Physical Education, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
