BBK DAV for Women College lifts Gndu Inter- College Canoeing Championship

Amritsar, Dec. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Canoeing team of BBK DAV College for Women, won the GNDU Inter-College Canoeing Championship held at Lohnu Ground Bilaspur, (H.P). The College team gave a splendid show by defeating HMV College Jalandhar, SD College Dinanagar and Khalsa College for Women Amritsar.

The team members are Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Shikha, Kavita, Prabhjot Kaur, Simranjit Kaur and Sushma. Four players of the college Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Shikha and Kavita are selected for All India Intervarsity Championship going to be held at Pong Dam in the month of Feb. 2018.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV College for Women is a forerunner in sports.Mrs. Sweety Bala Head Department of Physical Education, Canoeing Coach Mr. Pawan, Ms. Rajdeep Kaur teacher along with faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
