Eyeing to enhance mutual cooperation, GNDU–SGRDIMSR sign MoU

Amritsar, Dec. 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With an aim to enhance mutual cooperation in education and research in Gndu1the field of medical sciences, two Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU) were signed between Guru Nanak Dev University and Sri Guru Ramdas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research  Amritsar on Tuesday by the Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Kamaljit Singh and Registrar Guru Nanak Dev University Prof. Dr. Karanjit Singh Kahlon between  Director Sri Guru Ramdas Institute of Medical Sciences  & Research Amritsar Dr. A.P. Singh. These MoU’s were signed in the presence of Vice Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu

          Since both the institutes are of high repute and have immense contribution in the field of education and research, these MoU’s promise to give a great boost to both the institutes. As per the MoU, both GNDU and the SGRDIMSR will support each other in the area of medical sciences of Advance Cancer Research/Modern Cancer Institute, with latest equipments and treatment techniques is in the service of human cancer care. It is in the process of establishing front line research facilities in the areas of Medical Physics and has extensive teaching program in the Radiotherapy and Radiology with well estgablished infrastructure for imparting hands on training.

          Both the institutes have mutually agreed to collaborate in the teaching, conducting practicals in relevant courses and for providing required residency/field training program  for various courses related to Medical Sciences.The work related to the academic institutions required for various medical sciences in related courses in the field of Radiological Physics courses program for M.Sc and P.G. Diploma’s in Radiological Physics will be conducted in concerned departments of the GNDU/ SGRDIMSR.

            SGRDIMSR agrees to extend its facilities of Radiotherapy Department for conducting the practical exams as well as mandatory Residency (Internship)/ field training for one year without any cost and teaching of the required portion of the syllabus to these P.G. Diploma students. The MoU was signed is the great achievement of  the GNDU and GRDIMSR.
