Jalandhar, Mar. 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the aegis of Vajra Corps An Ex-Servicemen Rally is being organised by Pine Division at Military Station Solan on 30 March 2018 from 1000h onwards. The State of Himachal Pradesh has traditionally been the nursery to the Armed Forces and is therefore home to a number of Ex-Servicemen. Keeping up with the rich traditions, Indian Army in consonance with commemoration of ‘The Year of War Disabled’ will honour the War Disabled Soldiers, Veer Naris and Widows on the occasion. The event would be graced by General Officer Commanding, Pine Division, various serving and retired military dignitaries and civil administration officials. The Ex-Servicemen rally aims to strengthen the bond between the present generations and its Veterans. The rally would be an appropriate avenue for empowering the Ex-Servicemen for their intrinsic growth by addressing their grievances and facilitating the second career options. Various attractions during the rally would include online registration of Veterans, ECHS awareness, pension related grievance redressal, banking services and important schemes by State Government. The event is likely to be attended by approximately 1000 Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and Widows. All Ex-Servicemen of the region are being extended a warm invitation to attend the rally, resolve their grievances and meet their fellow veterans.
