
Amritsar, Aug. 14 (Manji Kaur) – The festival of Teej was celebrated in Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Friends Avenue, Airport Road, with great zest & zeal in the prescience of Principal Ravinder Bumra, member incharge S. Gurbax Singh, Dr. Manmohan Singh Khanna, Sarpanchs of Heir Village Sadha Singh and Mukhtar Singh also graced the function. Director of Education Dr. Dharmveer Singh was the chief guest. He appreciated the students. The whole school was bedecked with flowers phulkaris and buntings which aches the Punjab folklore. “The festival is dedicated to women specially” said madam Principal she said that the festivals also reminded us of good times and hoped that the traditional festival like Teej would not forgotten by the younger generation of Punjab. The girls with colourful dress sang s sang songs and performed giddha to welcome the monsoon season Sawan. Madam Principal, Dr. Manmohan Singh also thanked the Sarpanches and parents.
