CKD celebrated 68th Independence year with great zeal and enthusiasm

Amritsar, Aug. 14 (Manjit Kaur)- To bring out the true spirit of patriotism all the Amritsar institutes under Chief Khalsa Diwan celebrated 68th Independence year with great zeal and enthusiasm on August 15, 2014 in Sri Guru Harkrishan Public Sen. Sec. School, G.T. Road, Amritsar.  At this occasion President Chief Khalsa Diwan, S. Charanjit Singh Chadha, witnessed the event as chief guest. Dr. DharamVeer Singh Principal/Director extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries. S. Charanjit Singh Chadha surrounded by the CKD dignitaries, hoisted the tricolor.  They fly off Colorful Balloons in the blue sky spreading the message of peace and invaluable freedom. The school marched past and saluted the flag. The air was truly filled with the feeling of love, respect and patriotism towards the motherland. Students gracefully dressed up in tricolor presented patriotic performance. At this occasion,. President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha enlightened the importance of Punjabi’s in freedom struggle. He also inspired everyone to contribute to the prosperity of nation while performing his/her own duties as a good citizen.  Patriotic presentation by the students also revealed the struggle for freedom and hardships faced by our great freedom fighters. Students were gracefully dressed up in Tri- Colour clothes. Dignitaries on the occasion were present S. Sawinder Singh Kathunangal, S. Sarabjit Singh, S. Jaspal Singh, S. Pritpal Singh Sethi, S. Surinder  Pal Singh Walia, S. Manjit Singh Manjal, S. Ranbir Singh Chopra, Director Education Dr. Dharamveer Singh, Sports Director S. Lakhbir Singh Khiala, Dr. H. S. Sandhu and Principals from different branches.  S. Harminder Singh Ji Member Incharge G. T. Road School also remembered freedom fighters and paid tribute to the matyrs who shed their blood for freedom.
