Sahodaya Schools Complex honoured 5 Principals & 127 Teachers

Education Minister O.P Soni awards at DAV Public School

Amritsar, Sept. 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV .Public School Lawrence Road hosted the Teachers’ Day Celebrations under the auspices of Sahodaya Schools Complex Amritsar, Gurdaspur & Tarn Taran with grandeur. The honourable Education Minister of Punjab , Sh.O.P. Soni graced the momentous occasion as the Chief Guest. Lakhwinder Singh Executive Magistrate was also present on the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

            The President of Sahodaya Schools Complex Principal Sh. Dharamvir Singh  Principal  Mrs.Anita Bhalla Secretary Sahodaya Schools Complex, Principal Mrs. Anjana Gupta Treasurer Sahodaya Schools Complex, Principal of the  host school Dr. Neera Sharma, Chief Advisor, Sahodaya School Complex, Principal Rajiv Sharma, Principal Vijay Mehra, Principal Mrs,Vinodita Sankhyan, Principal Mrs.Urminder Kaur, Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Singh and other Principals and eminent guests including Sanjeev Sharma, LMC Member were present at the function. The students of NCC (Air Wing) escorted the guests to the auditorium for the official commencement by the function.

            Every year Teachers’ Day is observed by Sahodaya Schools Complex to commemorate the birth anniversary of the second President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who wished his birthday that falls on September 5 to be celebrated as Teachers’ Day. He has always been remembered as an eminent administrator but more importantly as a respected scholar and distinguished teacher of Philosophy.

            The grand function commenced with the lighting of the lamp of knowledge , invoking  Almighty to shower  this blessings for enlightenment . The Chief Guest of the day O.P. Soni was accorded a warm welcome by the Principal. She presented green plants signifying health & purity to welcome all the guests. The students of the school paid reverence to the teachers by presenting ‘Guru Vandana’. The scintillating presentation of flute recital by Rajiv Bhardwaj from Music faculty of the school enthralled the audience.

            Keeping up with the tradition of Sahodaya Schools Complex, to recognise and appreciate  the remarkable contribution of the teachers from schools under Sahodaya Schools Complex this year 5 Principals, Mrs.Navjeet Kaur Principal Saini International School Amritsar, Mrs. Shabnam Sharma Principal DDI School Amritsar, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan Principal Ashok Vatika Public  School Amritsar, Mrs. Harsh Thukral Principal Brightland School Amritsar and Mrs. Manisha Verma Principal Sri Guru Harkrishan Adarsh Sr. Sec. School, Naushehra Amritsar  and 127 teachers i.e one best teacher each from the public schools along with the Principal of  that school were honoured by the Chief Guest O.P. Soni.
