Vedic Chetna aur Charitra Nirman Shivir organised by DAV Public School

Amritsar, June 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the guidance of Arya Ratna Dr. Punam Suri Ji, Padma Shree Awardee, and President Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, and President DAV CMC New Delhi, and under the leadership of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab and Arya Yuva Samaj, Punjab a State Level Vedic Chetna Shivir and Charitra Nirman Shivir  is being organised at DAV Public School Lawrence Road Amritsar from 1^st to 4^th June 2019. This event was inaugurated today with echoes of havan mantras and the opening ceremony was initiated in Urvi Auditorium with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony. A melodious Bhajan rendering was made by Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Music Teacher of DAV Public School, and Amritsar, which mesmerized every listener. A heavenly presentation of dance and music was made by the young dancers of Std III of DAV Public School Amritsar on the occasion.

            The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. J.P Shoor, Director Public and Aided Schools, DAV CMC New Delhi President Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha Punjab and  Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra Regional Officer Punjab Zone A and Secretary was the Guest of Honour. Swami Suryadev who is an eloquent orator also blessed the audience. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal DAV Public School Amritsar accorded warm floral welcomes to Dr. J.P Shoor, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Swami Suryadev and all the eminent guests. In her welcome address she highlighted the importance of holding such shivirs, and said that such shivirs provide activities to keep the children engaged creatively, and inspirational discourses and bhajans generate positive energy in the participants to make them more capable and self-sufficient in life.

The Chief Guest Dr. J.P Shoor while addressing the gathering said that today, the First Day of June, 2019 is a very important day since it is the foundation day of Arya Samaj and it is being celebrated with such great fervour and exuberance so that it seems that the dream of Swami Dayanand is actually being realised.On one hand the Capacity Building workshops for the teachers were in progress, and on the other hand a parallel camp was being organised for character development of students. Swami Suryadev in his speech, highlighted the fact thathumans are spontaneous learners by nature and they are the only creatures who are not born with natural instincts, but can learn every skill by systematic training. A positive attitude plays a major role in their learning process, and Charitra Nirman Shivirs act as the perfect medium for heralding social evolution.

 In the end the Guest of Honour Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra thanked all the guests and applauded the school for organising such a brilliant show in which children learn and imbibe values of mutual co-operation, brotherhood, teamwork and hard work for life.
