Lecture on Financial Education Awareness at Khalsa College  

Amritsar, February 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PG department of Economics Khalsa College organized a guest lecture on Financial Education Awareness. The resource person Kuldeep Thareja, Assistant General Manager, National Institute of Securities Markets emphasized on the importance of saving through market investments by the individuals and the institutions.

            He stressed on financial planning, which he linked with safety, liquidity and growth. The various avenues available for investment were also highlighted. The speaker also discussed various schemes available for life and health insurance. Dr Bhagwant Singh, another resource person from SEBI also interacted with the students. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh welcomed the guests speakers. HoD JK Ghuman, Dr.  Avtar Singh, Dr. Anju Sharma, Dr. Geetinder Mann, Dr. Saveeta, Dr. Navjot Kaur, Dr. Supreet Kaur, Dr. Seozy Bhatia, Dr. Kawaljit Kaur and Dr. Pinky Bains were present on the occasion.
