Special camps to set up at sub-divisional level for vaccination of employees

Deputy Commissioner directs the remaining employees to get vaccinated immediately

Kapurthala, April 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mrs. Deepti Uppal has directed to conduct special camps at sub division level hospitals on Saturdays and Sundays for vaccination of officers and staff of various departments who are still not vaccinated.

                   She asked the heads of all the departments through video conferencing to submit the details of their respective employees immediately so that they too could be vaccinated. She said that the District Heads of Revenue Department, Cooperation, Education, Rural Development and Panchayat Department, Social Security, Food Supply, Agriculture Department and Public Works Department have maximum staff besides having ditect dealing with common man, bringing them at high risk. She said that they all fall into the ‘Super Spreader’ category and by keeping in view that they all must vaccinated. She also asked the Panchayat department to ensure vaccination of all Sarpanches and Panches so that the people in the villages could be motivated for vaccination.

                       Emphasizing on the vaccination of safai karmcharis in Municipal Corporation Kapurthala and Phagwara, she asked the commissioners of both MCs to ensure that none of the employees serving under them would be deprived of vaccines.
