Post Covid Ward starts functioning at Civil Hospital kapurthala

Deputy Commissioner Emphasis on capacity building

Kapurthala, May 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal today visited the Post Covid Ward of Civil Hospital today.

            An 8-bed post-covid ward has been set up at Civil Hospital Kapurthala where patients who have recovered from covid will be kept, experiencing respiratory, oxygen saturation or any other problem during recovery even after the covid report is negative. The ward has a central oxygen supply facility..

            Advocating for enhancing the capacity of Post Covid Ward, Deputy Commissioner said that there was a need for more monitoring of the health of the people who were recovering from covid -19.

            Dr. Parminder Kaur Civil Surgeon informed that adequat arrangements have been made as per the requirement of the patients in Post Covid Ward.

            On this occasion Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Dr. Anu Sharma, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Raj Karni, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Sarika Duggal, Senior Medical Officer Sandeep Dhawan and others were present.
