Amritsar, Nov. 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A folklore exhibition cum competition was organized on Guru Nanak Dev University, celebration held on its 45th foundation day. Ten colleges affiliated to GNDU took part in it under which each college exhibited a staff where various artifacts and antique pieces of Punjab’s heritage were showcased. Results of the competition were announced in the Guru Nanak Bhawan, GNDU under the leadership of Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar. BBK DAV College for Women bagged the winners’ trophy in this contest & added another glorious feather in its crown Guru Angad Dev College, Khadoor Sahib & SSM College, Dina Nagar, jointly shared the second position while Mata Gujari College Balwanda and GNDU college, Mithra shared the third position.
Prof. S.P. Gautam former Vice Chancellor, MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly and Professor, centre for philosophy, school of social sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Punjabi Poet and playweight Swarajbir Singh delivered lectures on the occasion.
The Principal of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra felicitated the students for their great achievement & motivated them to work with same dedication & sincerity in future also. Dr. (Mrs.) Rupinder Pal Kaur (HOD) Punjabi department, Prof. Manpreet Kaur Bhuttar, Prof. Simranjit Singh, Prof. Rajdeep Mehra, Prof. Kirandeep Kaur, Prof. Manpreet Kaur, Prof. Jasbir Kaur were also present.
