Western command investiture ceremony – 2023 multi activity display

Amritsar, March 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Indian Army’s Western Command conducted Multi Activity Display  at New Amritsar Military Station, Punjab on 10 March 2023 at Hayde ground on the first day of Western Command Investiture Ceremony. The event was attended by various awardees with families, military dignitaries and school children, promoting true celebration of achievements and distinguished service to the nation. The event was conducted by Panther Division under the aegis of Vajra Corps on behalf of the Western Command showcasing equestrian sport, martial art skills of Indian Army and exciting adventure activities. The Multi Activity Display marks the formal inauguration of Western Command Investiture Ceremony which will be held on 11 March 2023. The ceremony will be presided over by Lieutenant General Nav K Khanduri, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Command during which one Yudh Seva Medal, 23 Sena Medals (Gallantry), Six Sena Medals (Distinguished) and nine Vishisht Seva Medals will be presented to the awardees for their gallant acts and distinguished service in the line of duty. A total of seven Units will be awarded with Chief of The Army Staff Unit Appreciation and 25 Units will be awarded General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command Unit appreciation during the ceremony.
