KPMG offered jobs to 20 GNDU students

Amritsar, August 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Placement & Career Enhancement of  Guru Nanak Dev University organized a campus placement drive by one of the big 4 consulting firm KPMG. As many as 20 students from various B.Tech. courses – Batch 2024 of Guru Nanak Dev University have been offered job by this company.

KPMG conducted online test, Group Discussion round, technical and HR interviews of final year students of B.Tech.-Computer Science, B.Tech–Electronics, B.Tech Mechanical Engg, B.Tech Civil Engg. and B.Tech. Food Science students. KPMG offered GRCS Telecom profile to 11 students, who will get Rs. 6.00 Lakh per annum. The company also offered Digital Trust profile to 9 students, who will get Rs. 5.00 Lakh per annum.

Apart from the job, these students have also been offered 6 months internship from January to June, 2024, where they will also get stipend of Rs. 20000/- per month.

These students belong to main campus Amritsar as well as the regional campuses of Jalandhar and Gurdaspur. Students shall join their internship in January 2024 and after successful internship, they will be absorbed for permanent roles in July 2024.

Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu Vice Chancellor congratulated the selected students and faculty members on getting the job offers from KPMG. He also appreciated efforts of the Placement Cell in bringing the best corporate to GNDU. He added that the demand for the GNDU students by the corporate world itself speaks of the quality infrastructure and facilities available at GNDU Amritsar. Dr. Amit Chopra, Director, Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement added that GNDU is one of the favourite places to hire engineering graduates. Many more companies are likely to visit for hiring of Batch 2024 students from various courses.
